The contest is organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Education and Times Newspaper is the unit assigned to the permanent and organizational tasks.
At the ceremony, journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the 2025 "Deep Memories of Teachers and Schools" Contest has become a humane activity, arousing and spreading the tradition of "respecting teachers and valuing the nation" - a precious value of the Vietnamese people.
The contest aims to honor and disseminate the experiences of homeroom teachers with good feelings, jobs, and achievements by encouraging students, teachers, educational management staff, and parents to write about their deep memories of homeroom teachers and homeroom work.
In 2024, the contest recorded 85,000 entries from all over the country. The works are all imbued with love, respect and gratitude for teachers. There are simple stories that touch people's hearts; there are memories that seem to have gone far behind, now being aroused and becoming a source of inspiration for the younger generation.
Everyone has affirmed that the contest is not only an intellectual playground, but also contributes significantly to fostering personality, nurturing the tradition of studiousness and the spirit of gratitude to teachers..." - journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam shared.
Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Quynh - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Education Publishing House emphasized that the writing contest about teachers with a journey of 14 years has become a vivid testament to the deep affection of Vietnamese people for the school and teachers. Hundreds of thousands of articles from all over the country have truly reflected the tireless efforts, imbued with the love of teachers and students.
"The articles are not only memories but also emotional nuances, stories told with images and emotions, allowing us to imagine the precious moments that the writer has experienced.
Reading those articles, we seem to see the country's major educational orientations through each period conveyed to children through stories, pedagogical situations and very humane behavior" - Mr. Pham Quynh expressed.
Prize structure:
The Organizing Committee awarded 2 collective prizes; 2 First prizes; 4 Second prizes; 6 Third prizes; 10 Encouragement prizes; 2 prizes for Outstanding Character in the winning work; Concurrent prizes are considered and decided by the Organizing Committee of the contest, depending on the actual situation of each year.
Regarding the value of the award, the First Prize has a certificate of merit from the Minister of Education and Training and 10,000,000 VND/tournament;
Second Prize: Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Education and Training and VND 8,000,000/tournament;
Third Prize: Certificate of Prize of the Competition issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and 6,000,000 VND/tournament;
Encouragement Prize: Certificate of Prize of the Competition is issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and VND 3,000,000/tournament.
Collective prize: Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and 5,000,000 VND/tournament.
Additional prizes: Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and VND 2,000,000/tournament.
The contest results will be announced to the winning authors and published on the Education and Times Newspaper, the website of the Ministry of Education and Training. The award ceremony is expected to be held in November 2025.
