Nowadays, stories about twins and triplets are no longer strange. However, the case of quadruplets like Pham Nguyen Linh Lan's four sisters is relatively rare, attracting special attention from the online community.
Mai, Lan, Cuc, Truc - four sisters named after a set of four noble paintings - were born on October 16, 2001. They are Vietnamese and currently living and studying in the US with their mother.
According to Pham Nguyen Linh Lan, because they grew up together and were born into a family with a mother who was a singer and won first prize in a national music competition, all four of them have common interests and talents.
Mai, Lan, Cuc, and Truc all love music, painting, and share a passion for watching Korean movies. During their childhood, the four sisters often wore the same clothes, went to the same class, and did everything together, so they were very close and considered each other best friends.
"Honestly, we don't feel pressured to make friends with everyone, because we are like four best friends. Whenever someone is bullied, the three of us will protect them together," Linh Lan confided.
Talking about whether or not she is often "mistaken" by outsiders, Linh Lan shared that, in reality, each person has different, unmistakable personality traits.
The eldest sister Linh Mai is known to have a gentle and patient personality, and is the one who takes care of her younger siblings.
Meanwhile, Linh Cuc is considered graceful, quiet but individualistic.
Linh Truc, although the smallest, is the strongest and fearless. As for Linh Lan, she admits to having a strong personality and often has to adjust herself to get along with her sisters in the family.
Although each person has their own personality, they are strangely compatible with each other. "People have different personalities, so they think differently and have different perspectives. So when chatting, there are often many perspectives and the stories are very interesting, never boring," Linh Lan confided.
However, they are often compared to each other in an undesirable way.
"One thing we don't like is people comparing who is the prettiest, who sings the best, who studies the best.
While I think that is unnecessary, because everyone has different talents," Linh Lan said.
Talking about the "half-crying, half-laughing" memories, Linh Lan said that every time one of the four sisters made a mistake, their parents would scold and punish all three children. This was something the sisters did not like because it was "unfair".
Of course, Linh Lan's sisters are not immune to disagreements. "Sometimes we argue and fight over different opinions," Linh Lan said.
"However, every time we argue, we always find a way to make peace and don't stay angry for long because deep down we still love each other."
