An Indonesian woman discovered that she was a guest at her husband's wedding 15 years ago, when she was only 9 years old.

Recently, SCMP reported on a rare story that occurred on Bangka Island, Indonesia, when Renata Fadhea - 24 years old, was a guest at her husband's wedding 15 years ago, when she was only 9 years old.

Renata Fadhea shared her story on TikTok, quickly attracting more than 7.1 million views.

In the video, she revealed that her current husband, now 62 years old, was the groom at a wedding she attended when she was a child.

Notably, Renata's current husband is her aunt's nephew. Renata attended the wedding as a guest and a distant relative of the groom.

Although they had not known each other before and had not been in contact since meeting at the wedding, Renata and her current husband accidentally reunited in 2019.

At this time, her current husband had been separated from his previous wife since 2011.

Renata quickly married her husband, who is 38 years older, in 2020.

A year later, they welcomed their first child.

This coincidence was discovered by Renata when she reviewed her husband's second wedding photo album in 2019.

In the group photo from the 2009 wedding, she - then only 9 years old - stood next to the groom - who later became her husband.

Renata's story is not uncommon in Indonesia.

When Renata's story was shared, social media users left many different comments.

Some people objected and thought that Renata's marriage was inappropriate, especially when the age gap between the two was too big and the two were distant relatives.

However, there are also some people who think that Renata's case is rare and that the love between the two is "fate".

Despite the mixed opinions, Renata affirmed that she and her husband were very happy together, overcoming all age differences.
