Today (November 30), actress Phuong Lan and her husband Phan Dat confirmed that they have broken up after 1 year of marriage. They decided to end their relationship more than a month ago.
The couple denied that there was a third person involved in their relationship. Phuong Lan and Phan Dat broke up peacefully because after living together, they realized that they had many differences in views and thoughts. Their decision was understood and agreed upon by both families. Although they are no longer husband and wife, they still consider each other friends, follow and support each other in their work.
Explaining why she only announced the breakup now, Phuong Lan said she needed time to calm down and wanted everything to stabilize before sharing with the audience as well as to avoid affecting the relationship between the two sides.
The couple dated for 7 years before getting married in November 2023. However, Phuong Lan and Phan Dat had not registered their marriage so they broke up amicably.
Previously, in October 2024, Phan Dat posted to "expose" the dark corners related to the actors at the theater - where his wife Phuong Lan is working. He said that these colleagues have an attitude of oppressing and bullying their juniors in the profession. This made the couple's relationship receive attention. At that time, the actress also spoke up to apologize to the audience and colleagues.
Many doubts about the couple's separation were raised when Phan Dat posted on his personal page: "You don't feel sorry because you are not me. I lost my 7-year relationship, I didn't even realize what you did to my wife, but every time I came home, I no longer saw my wife as innocent as before. Honestly, I hate you so much."
Phuong Lan was born in 1994 and is an actress at the World Youth Theater in Ho Chi Minh City. Phan Dat was born in 1995 and used to be an office worker and worked as a musician for artists at the World Youth Theater. The two dated since 2018 before getting married in November 2023.
In a previous conversation with Lao Dong reporter, the actress commented about Phan Dat: "He is an extremely funny person. But, at work, he is extremely difficult and meticulous. When there is work, he often puts 100% of his heart into it until it is completed.
What I like most is that when facing difficulties, he is always calm, stubborn and overcomes difficulties by all means. In the future, we will always work together."
