Divorced in 2019 after 24 years of living together, Quang Minh once admitted that he went through a period of emptiness, self-consciousness and had to spend a lot of time balancing his psychology.
Two years of the epidemic caused the male artist to change his views on life, choosing to live slowly, focusing on health and enjoying simple things. Returning to Vietnam to work in art, he maintained a regular working schedule but limited private life sharing.
At the age of over 60, Quang Minh focuses on his personal image, maintaining healthy living habits, exercising and taking care of his appearance. He once shared that for actors, appearance is not only an aesthetic factor but also shows respect for the audience. This lifestyle once caused him to face many unnecessary rumors, but the male artist chose to remain silent and not react harshly.
Quang Minh's greatest joy in recent years is the third time he has "become" a father at the age of 65. He welcomes his first son with his much younger girlfriend - Tang Khanh Chi after more than a year of attachment. Not making a fuss about announcing it, not sharing it densely on social networks, Quang Minh keeps family life secret, only occasionally revealing simple everyday moments with his son.
According to the male artist's sharing, having children at a late age makes him learn to slow down, be more careful and responsible. From being confused in taking care of newborns, he gradually got used to changing diapers, bathing children, and luring children to sleep. "My joy now is to see my children grow up day by day," Quang Minh once said.
Along with family joy, Quang Minh also gradually stabilized his life in Ho Chi Minh City. In early 2026, he held a groundbreaking ceremony to build his own house in Nha Be, with the desire to have a long-term home after many years of living between Vietnam and the US. The house is considered a milestone for a new stage - settling down, focusing on family and developing his career in the country.
Despite having a new home, Quang Minh said that he and Hong Dao currently maintain a civilized friendship. The two still ask and encourage each other in work. The male artist once shared that what he cherishes most after a breakup is being able to maintain respect and calmness when mentioning his ex.
Regarding his career, Quang Minh continues to participate in film, stage and advertising projects. He said that he is willing to take on more jobs to take care of his son's future, but does not chase after quantity but prioritizes suitable projects.
In his old age, Quang Minh chooses a quiet life, avoiding thi phi (gossip/gossip), focusing on family and work.
