Hanoi - After the National Day holiday September 2nd, many people quickly returned to exercise with the goal of losing weight, fat and regaining their figure.

Returning to training after the holidays

After a vacation with her family, Ms. Hoang Ngoc Linh (26 years old, Hanoi) quickly returned to the pickleball court to increase exercise and support weight loss. She said that the long holiday makes her daily schedule change, while eating is also more comfortable than usual.

During the holidays, I ate more and exercised less, so I felt my body was heavy. After the ceremony, I returned to play pickleball regularly to exercise more with the hope of losing weight," Ms. Ngoc Linh shared.

Not only choosing pickleball, many people also return to the gym to maintain their exercise habits. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram Anh (28 years old, Hanoi) said that eating more and exercising less during the holidays makes her want to adjust her workout schedule soon.

During the holidays, I ate more than usual and also exercised less, so I felt very heavy. I want to exercise regularly again to reduce fat and regain my figure," Ms. Tram Anh shared.

Meanwhile, Mr. Pham Duc Minh (31 years old, Hanoi) returned to training with the desire for a healthy body and maintaining exercise habits.

After a few days of rest, I felt quite sluggish and lacked energy. I returned to exercise to make my body move again, while maintaining the habit of exercising," Mr. Minh said.

The fact that many people actively return to sports activities also makes the atmosphere at the gyms more bustling, especially in the early days of returning to work.

Training demand increases after vacation

Mr. Do Thanh Tu - personal trainer (PT) at a gym in Hanoi - said that the number of customers returning to practice increased significantly in the first days after the holidays.

In the early days after the holiday, the number of visitors returning is quite large, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. Compared to the time during and close to the holiday, the situation of customers taking practice breaks or delaying schedules has decreased significantly," Mr. Tu said.

According to Mr. Tu, the number of personal training schedules has increased by about 20-30% compared to before the holidays. Many members have actively booked schedules from the end of the holidays to quickly return to their familiar training schedules.

The hours from 6am - 8am and 5:30pm - 8pm are usually full. Currently, customers who want to practice PT at these hours usually have to book a few days in advance," Mr. Tu said.

Also recording this trend, Ms. Do Ngoc Anh - PT at a gym in Hanoi - said that the number of new and old customers returning increased depending on each establishment.

According to Ms. Ngoc Anh, one of the reasons for the increased need for exercise is the psychology of wanting to quickly control their weight after days of eating comfortably and exercising little. Besides, some people come to the gym because they feel sluggish, lack energy and want to exercise again.

After the ceremony, many people have a psychology of fear of gaining weight, so they want to exercise again immediately to reduce fat. Besides, some customers feel tired and sluggish after the holiday, so they are also interested in physical recovery exercises," Ms. Ngoc Anh shared.

However, according to Ms. Ngoc Anh, returning to exercise needs to be done step by step instead of trying to exercise heavily to quickly regain shape.

Setting a moderate goal, for example, maintaining about 3 sessions per week, and choosing a suitable sport will help form a sustainable habit. The most important thing is to maintain a fixed exercise schedule and listen to the body. You should not overdo it because you want to regain your figure quickly, which can easily cause injury and give up," Ms. Ngoc Anh said.
