Billionaire Taylor Swift's assets surpass Rihanna

According to Forbes, Taylor Swift has now surpassed Rihanna to become the richest female artist in the US.

Recently, Forbes updated the real-time net worth of American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift, currently at 1.6 billion USD as of October 6, 2024.

Taylor Swift has surpassed Rihanna ( net worth 1.4 billion USD) to rise to No. 1 on the US richest female artist chart.

The "Fortnight" singer was recognized by Forbes as a billionaire in October 2023 with a net worth of about 1.1 billion USD. Notably, Taylor Swift became a billionaire thanks to her revenue from The Eras Tour and other musical activities.

Forbes emphasized that Taylor Swift is the first artist to enter the billionaire rankings based primarily on music composition and performance activities.

Her assets do not come from profitable side jobs (beauty brands, fashion brands, investment in wine...), which have been typical routes for entertainment artists to become billionaires in recent years.

Taylor Swift's current fortune has increased to $1.6 billion, including nearly $600 million accumulated from copyright and tour fees, and an estimated music portfolio worth $600 million.

Her The Eras Tour set a record in December 2023, as the first tour to earn more than $1 billion in ticket sales, according to Pollstar. The tour is expected to earn more than $2 billion when it concludes later this year.

In April, Taylor Swift released her latest album The Tortured Poets Department with 31 songs, breaking the streaming record set by her own album Midnights in 2022.

Top 5 richest female artists in the US right now:

1. Taylor Swift: $1.6 billion

2. Rihanna: $1.4 billion

3. Madonna: $850 million

4. Beyonce: $760 million

5. Celine Dion: $250 million
