The incident started on the evening of May 20, when the father named T. and his daughter C. went to find a GPS headphone on the phone. The two went to many places and determined that the signal was to stop in the apartment elevator.
Here, Mr. T. and his daughter blocked the elevator door, suspecting that a woman named L. might have picked up a headphone. Due to the impatience, they continuously questioned and asked for inspections, causing a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere for those accompanying the elevator.
By the morning of May 21, PTTC's family had proactively contacted and met Ms. L. to apologize and resolve the reservations. Ms. L. agreed to ignore it and both families did not prosecute further.
However, after PTTC Family posted a video explaining and apologizing, Ms. L. said that Mr. T.'s family had called to put pressure, intending to threaten Ms. L. to speak up to correct her once again.
The incident caused PTTC Family to receive a lot of criticism. The family's TikTok channel has dropped its followers sharply from more than 450 thousand to 400 thousand in just 1 day. The posts were also flooded with attacks from the online community, leaving negative comments.
Previously, PTTC Family was one of the social network phenomena with TikTok channel having more than 453K followers and 15 million video likes. This family consists of 4 members: Mr. T. (father), Mrs. P. (mother), eldest daughter Th. and youngest daughter C.
PTTC Family Canal started operating in December 2022. Initially, C. created a channel to share personal views, things learned from her family, then expanded it to her daily life with her parents and sister.
The name PTTC is combined from the initials of the members names. This TikTok channel mainly shares family life, parenting, housework values... They are supported by the audience with positive and approachable content.
After that, PTTC Family also supported other families to build brands on social networks and create sustainable income through content creation on TikTok.
C.'s youngest daughter also has her own TikTok channel with more than 410 thousand followers, and a series "Bo T. teach me" has reached millions of views.
Also because of the image of a civilized and inspiring family, the PTTC Family channel is even more controversial and criticized for its inappropriate attitude towards neighbors living in the same apartment building.
