Youme Law Firm LLC said that according to Article 2 of the 2019 Law on the Encouragement Force, reserve soldiers include reserve officers, reserve professional soldiers and non-commissioned officers, reserve soldiers registered according to the provisions of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army 1999, the Law on Professional Soldiers, Workers and National Defense Officials 2015 and the Law on Military Service 2015.
Subsidy regime for families of reserve soldiers
According to Article 5 of Decree 79/2020/ND-CP, the subsidy regime for families of reserve soldiers is regulated.
Reservists' families during the training period (training, transfer, transfer, supplement), drills, checks readiness to encourage, fight readiness and mobilization when not reaching the total or local encouragement level; students training reserve officers and families of first-class reserve non-commissioned officers during the reserve officer training period are entitled to the following allowances:
- Subsidy level
+ The subsidy of 160,000 VND/day applies to families of reserve soldiers who are working, studying, working in agencies, organizations and receiving salaries from the State budget.
+ The subsidy level of VND 240,000/day applies to families of reserve soldiers not mentioned above.
+ In case the reserve soldier is sick or has an accident and goes to the hospital or is treated, the family of the reserve soldier will receive a subsidy but not exceeding the time limit for training, exercises, checking readiness to encourage, be ready to fight and mobilize.
- Organize implementation
After the end of the training, drill, and checking of readiness for encouragement, combat readiness and mobilization, the unit directly training, practicing, checking readiness for encouragement, combat readiness and mobilization will make a list of reserve soldiers; confirm the number of days of training, exercising, checking readiness for encouragement, combat readiness and mobilization; the allowance for reserve military families, send to the district-level military command where the reserve soldiers are called to concentration to pay allowances to the reserve military families.
