Monthly allowance of the Village Team Leader from March 2025

The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 2, Article 1, Decree 16/2025/ND-CP (effective from March 23, 2025) stipulates the amendment and supplementation of Article 8 of Decree No. 72/2020/ND-CP as follows:

a) Add the name of the article as follows:

Article 8. Monthly allowance regime, one-time allowance, food allowance of Deputy Commander of the Commune-level Military Command, Village team leader".

b) Supplement Point c, Clause 1, Article 8 as follows:

c) Deputy Commander of the Commune-level Military Command during his/her duty on duty, on combat readiness, participating in training, fostering, training, and commanding militia units on duty according to the approved plan or the decision of the Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level or higher, shall be guaranteed meals equal to the basic meals of non-commissioned officers and infantrymen on active duty; and shall be guaranteed meals for holidays and Tet equal to meals for holidays and Tet of non-commissioned officers and infantry soldiers on active duty in the Vietnam People's Army.

c) Amend Clause 2, Article 8 as follows:

2. For the Village Team Leader: The monthly allowance level is decided by the Provincial People's Committee and submitted to the People's Council of the same level, but not lower than VND 1,170,000".

Thus, from March 2025, the monthly allowance for the Village Team Leader will be submitted by the Provincial People's Committee to the People's Council of the same level for decision but not lower than VND 1,170,000.
