On the evening of January 11, the 2024 KBS Drama Awards were broadcast.
The event was originally scheduled to air live on December 31, 2024, but due to the tragic Jeju Air plane crash, it was changed to pre-recorded format and aired on January 11, 2025.
This year’s KBS Daesang (Grand Prize) was awarded to veteran actor Lee Soon Jae for his role in “Dog Knows Everything.” At 90 years old, Lee Soon Jae is now the oldest actor to ever win a Daesang.
In addition, during the awards ceremony, Choi Tae Joon's speech accepting the "Best Supporting Actor" award attracted attention when he mentioned his wife - actress Park Shin Hye.
First, Choi Tae Joon thanked the director and screenwriter of “Iron Family” for giving him the opportunity to appear in the film.
He also sent a general thank you to his good colleagues, whose names he was truly grateful for but “couldn’t remember on stage.” The actor said he would contact each of them individually after the awards ceremony.
However, he suddenly mentioned his wife Park Shin Hye: “There is one person I cannot forget. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Park Shin Hye, who always makes me, a lacking person, aspire to become a better person.”
Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon rarely reveal about their married life in the media or on social networks, so every time they mention each other, it causes a stir on social networks.
Previously, at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, Park Shin Hye, when receiving the "Directors' Choice" award for her leading role in the movie "The Judge from Hell", also mentioned her husband - Choi Tae Joon.
Park Shin Hye emotionally shared: “I think it is very difficult to meet someone who is suitable for you in life. I want to thank my husband, Choi Tae Joon.
