This not only completely changes the original plot but also makes Sun Chaek the center of the story, having a one-night love with Yi Beon (Taecyeon) - a almost perfect guy with handsome appearance, martial arts skills and composure.
Sharing about the reason for accepting the project, Seohyun said she was attracted to the plot between the characters, both humorous and thrilling, as well as the appeal of a character Sun Chaek - lovely but somewhat strange.
According to the SNSD member, the interesting thing about the character she plays is that she does not think about modernity in the past, so she does not have many difficulties with the source code. In addition, wearing hanbok (traditional Korean costumes) during filming is considered ideal when you can wear many layers of thermal clothing inside, as the project is filmed from fall to spring.
As for Taecyeon, when reading the script, he imagined what it would be like to step into a web novel and become his favorite lead character.
Yi Beon may look like a typical male lead, but in many ways, he is closer to the villain character more bad at expressing his emotions and considering it a weakness, he should isolate himself. But after meeting Sun Chaek, Yi Beon tried to change everything because of the woman he loves, the 2PM member explained.
To prepare for the role, Taecyeon spent a lot of time talking to the director. He revealed that he wanted to show the seriousness of the character in each scene. That is the reason why instead of using words, the actor focuses on expressing Yi Beon's emotions through actions and eyes.
In their first collaboration, Seohyun and Taecyeon gave each other many compliments. The SNSD member praised his senior for his wonderful energy, always taking on roles even without a camera, helping the on- set atmosphere become more cohesive. Meanwhile, Taecyeon assessed that the character Seohyun portrayed was complicated and not easy to portray, but his acting exceeded his expectations.
