Lawyer Ko said that Kim Soo Hyun enlisted in October 2017 and was discharged in July 2019. During this time, Kim Soo Hyun often took the opportunity to call and write handwritten letters to his girlfriend.
According to the lawyer, in Kim Soo Hyun's diary when on duty, he initially recorded daily things, then started writing about his girlfriend.
Lawyer Ko explained: If you look at the letters Kim Soo Hyun wrote to his girlfriend at that time, you will see a completely different thing from what he sent to Kim Sae Ron. For his girlfriend, he used words like "Anh yeu em", while for Kim Sae Ron it was just sharing his thoughts about the day, weather or military service life."
The lawyer said that from January 2018 to the day before his military discharge, Kim Soo Hyun wrote about 150 letters to his girlfriend.
The lawyer also emphasized that during his military service, Kim Soo Hyun often sent letters to acquaintances and the letter to Kim Sae Ron was one of those letters.
Lawyer Ko confirmed that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron started dating in the summer of 2019, after she had reached adulthood.
Kim Soo Hyun's management company confirmed that the two were in love from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020.
Previously, the YouTube channel of Garo Sero Research Institute accused Kim Soo Hyun of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was only 15 years old, a minor. Kim Soo Hyun's management company - Gold Medalist - immediately denied it, but Garo Sero continuously released photos of his private life, saying that this was evidence to support the accusation.

In the recording, Kim Sae Ron is said to have dated Kim Soo Hyun since he was a teenager.
However, Kim Soo Hyun's side refuted, saying that this recording was intercepted and edited by AI.
At the same time, Kim Soo Hyun's management company also filed a criminal lawsuit against Kim Se Ui - owner of Garo Sero Institute, and Kim Sae Ron's family for violating the law on preventing sexual violence and defamation of honor under the Law on Information and Communications networks. Kim Soo Hyun's side also filed a civil lawsuit demanding compensation for damages of 12 billion won (more than 227 billion VND).
