According to Koreaboo, YG Entertainment has recently officially announced that there will be no more live meetings between artists and fans in front of the company building.
The decision came after local residents complained of the chaos and discomfort caused by the large gatherings.
Over the years, YG Entertainment headquarters in hapjeong, Seoul (Korea) has become a familiar destination for fans to see their favorite idol.
Through both random meetings and pre- Scheduled events, meeting in person here has become a tradition for YG artists and fans.
The music groups under the company such as Blackpink, AKMU, WINNER, Baby Monster, TREASURE have all participated in these experiences, thereby strengthening their relationships with fans.
However, YG was forced to declare an end to this tradition, as local people are facing increasing instability.
YG's announcement caused mixed reactions in the fan community.
On the one hand, everyone is happy that the private space of artists will not be violated by the crowd.
On the other hand, many people are disappointed that this tradition has been canceled because a few fans do not respect the line between fans and idols, and have direct interactions that go beyond the limit.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment is planning to expand its reach and upgrade its content production system in the second half of 2025.
Production director Yang Hyun Suk said, "We will introduce an upgraded YG system, bringing audiences a completely new music and entertainment experience."
Blackpink is making a comeback with the Deadline global tour and has released the single "Jump", paving the way for a new album due out later this year.
7-member girl group Baby Monster is also given priority to promote activities. The group released the single "Hot Sauce" on July 1. After that, the second single will be released in September, before officially releasing the debut EP (expanded title) on October 1.
In particular, YG is planning to launch 2 next-generation boy bands and 2 girl groups. In particular, a group of men is expected to debut in 2026; a group of 4 girls have revealed their members since the end of May.
