In "Red Rain", Yen Nhi plays a member of the delegation of the Provisional Government of the Southern Revolution of Vietnam at the Paris Agreement 1972, On the occasion of the film's release, the actress shared with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters about the behind-the-scenes of the role and married life that few people know about.
- Recently, she has been quite secretive, making the audience curious about her life and career. Can you share a few things about this period?
- Actually, I have been participating in TV series regularly in the past, just because I rarely appear in the media, people thought I was absent. The most recent films I have participated in are broadcast on HTV7 and VTV1, VTV3, which are "Bong cua thien dai", "Chung ta dep hanh" and "Nguoi tre bao".
I understand that I have passed the golden age of my youth, so I have chosen to retire to focus on business, family and children.
However, his passion for acting has never Failed. That is why I still silently participate in TV series, playing a few small roles each year to both keep my passion for the profession and satisfy my film set memories.
Maybe because I have been in hiding for quite a while, there are not many opportunities for films, and there are fewer guests than before.
I think I am not likely to have a great career like before, so I just try to maintain it at a level that is enough to have fun and keep my love for cinema in me.

- The audience is also very interested in your married life, can you reveal?
- My husband is a photographer. I have two children, a 23-year-old daughter who has just graduated from university, and a 19-year-old son who is a first-year student.
At home, the daughter has a special love for her mother's job, but she chose her own path so she has not had the opportunity to pursue art, although she is still very passionate about it.
- When you accepted to participate in "Red Rain", what was your first feeling?
- Actually, when I was chosen to participate in this film, no matter the role, I still felt very happy. I feel extremely proud and grateful to be featured in a film with a strong historical imprint. Thanks to this film, I have the opportunity to feel more clearly and truly the blood and blood sacrifice of our ancestors so that we can have peace today.
My role in the film is very small, but that does not mean I allow myself to ignore it. I always try and learn to do my best, often ask the director to review carefully to edit until I meet new requirements.

- Many audiences think that her role reminds me of the image of former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh at the Paris Conference. What did you prepare for the role of a harmony group member?
- In the film, the character's full name was not mentioned, but director Dang Thai Huyen also affirmed that the film does not portray Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh because she is unique and unique.
In fact, the character in the film is only inspired by Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh, so I also read more documents to understand and serve the role.
I previously knew Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh in leadership positions as former Vice President, but did not research her youth too deeply. Thanks to this role, I have the opportunity to know more about her, and admire her talent and resilience even more.
- When reading the script and learning about the character, how do you overcome the pressure to act to show the demeanor of a diplomat?
- When I knew I would take on the role of a political figure in the consultation, I was really surprised and worried. Previously, the roles I have played often revolved around the image of a housewife or director... Therefore, this is an extremely new and interesting experience.
When arriving at the studio, everyone coordinated well, clearly grasping the progress and requirements of each scene. The crew members always support and assist each other, making the work process quick and smooth.
Acting gives me the opportunity to transform into different people, live lives that I probably would never try in real life. It was a special happiness.
With this role, I feel great pressure and excited because I am trying my hand at a completely different "land". When I received the invitation from the director, I was very happy, but I could not hide my excitement and anticipation.
- Thank you for sharing!
