According to the electronic disclosure system of the Korean Financial Supervisory Agency on May 9, OA Entertainment paid Jennie (Blackpink member) 9.5 billion won in profit sharing in the past year alone.
Coupled with 14.3 billion won received in 2024, Jennie's total income in the past 2 years reached about 23.8 billion won (equivalent to 16 million USD).
Jennie founded her personal company OA Entertainment in November 2023 after ending her exclusive solo management contract with YG Entertainment.
“OA” is an abbreviation of “ODD ATELIER” (unique creative workshop), meaning a creative space focused on producing unique and eye-catching projects. Jennie owns 100% of the company's shares, while her mother, Ms. Park Na-na, holds the CEO position.
Many people in the industry believe that the decision to self-manage personal activities has helped Jennie significantly increase the percentage of profit she directly receives compared to traditional entertainment contracts.

OA Entertainment is said to have maintained stable finances since its establishment thanks to Jennie's active activities in music, advertising, performance and event appearances.
In 2024 - considered the first full operating year of the company, revenue reached 18.9 billion won and operating profit reached 580 million won. Last year, OA's revenue increased by 26% compared to the previous year to 23.8 billion won, although operating profit decreased by 33% to 390 million won.
The report also revealed that Jennie directly supported operating capital for the company. Loans from OA Entertainment shareholders are said to have increased to 2.86 billion won by the end of last year - more than 8 times higher than the previous year.
Considering that cash flow from business activities is still negative even though the company has a net profit, this loan is understood as a source of additional capital to compensate for operating costs and the difference in profit payment time.
Not only Jennie, but more and more Korean artists are self-establishing entertainment companies and receiving profit settlements worth tens of billions of won.
A typical case is PSY (Park Jae Sang), the founder of P NATION. According to the company's audit report, PSY received about 17 billion won in profit sharing last year, largely thanks to the huge success of the summer concert series "Summer Swag".
Former TVXQ member Kim Jae Joong also founded iNKODE Entertainment, where he both manages personal activities and trains new artists.
A person in the entertainment industry commented: "Previously, entertainment companies were willing to invest and take risks and then share profits with artists. But now, many top stars with strong fandoms are self-establishing companies because the profit sharing structure is much more beneficial.
