On June 11, just a few hours after completing his military service, Jungkook encountered a serious problem when a strange woman tried to break into his private home in Seoul.
According to Korean media, the suspect, a Chinese citizen over 30 years old, had tried to enter the gate password many times at night but failed. This person was arrested by the police at the scene thanks to the timely response from local people.
In response to this incident, Big Hit Music's management company quickly issued an official statement. They confirmed that they are closely coordinating with the authorities and have submitted evidence, including a video from the CCTV system to support the investigation.
Big Hit also affirmed that it will continue to pursue this case and request appropriate criminal proceedings for the act of illegal entry.
The company's statement emphasized: "We will immediately report the cases of artist tracking to the police and request a ban on access. There will be no tolerance for any acts that violate BTS' privacy and safety."
Not stopping at break-ins, Big Hit said it is continuing to take legal action against malicious online acts such as slander, spreading fake news, sexual harassment and insulting artists.
In the third quarter of 2024, a number of lawsuits were handled and resulted in related individuals being fined. Many other lawsuits are also proceeding in the company's favor.
Big Hit especially called on fans and the ARMY community to actively support by reporting violations through the "Defense Artist Rights" platform operated by HYBE.
With support from fans, the company has been monitoring many online platforms in Korea and internationally, collecting evidence to deal with those who post content that is harmful to BTS.
"We are determined to pursue legal remedies to ensure that our artists can work in a safe environment, not affected by false rumors or personal violations," Big Hit concluded.
Currently, Jungkook and the BTS members have completed their military service. Fans expect the group to make a comeback soon in the near future, with strong protection from the management company against all risks that threaten their personal lives and careers.
