Returning after a week of postponement, the Korean drama "When the Phone Rings" achieved the highest rating since its broadcast.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 6 of the Korean drama “When the phone rings” aired on the evening of December 14 achieved an average nationwide rating of 6.9% - the highest rating of the drama since it aired on MBC.

After a week of postponement, "When the Phone Rings" made an impressive comeback with a new personal record, showing the audience's expectations for the film.

Episode 6 of the film became a topic of discussion in the film community with many interesting developments, especially the progress in the love relationship between Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin) and Baek Se Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok).

At the beginning of episode 6, after a sudden kiss the night before because of being drunk, Baek Sa Eon wakes up the next morning and is startled to see his wife lying next to him. But he cannot remember what happened.

Through the assistant's investigation, Baek Se Eon almost guessed that the person behind the phone number "406" (Hee Joo's kidnapper) who frequently called to threaten her was Hong Hee Joo.

He was shocked but did not expose his wife. He sneaked into her room to look for evidence. But when Hee Joo unexpectedly came home, the two had an extremely embarrassing situation when Se Eon discovered his wife's sexy lace outfit. He and his wife fell on the bed together, causing Se Eon's heart to skip a beat and he immediately left the house.

Hee Joo, not knowing that her husband had found out, once again used her identity as “406” to call Baek Se Eon. This time, Se Eon admitted that he was the one who arranged the marriage with Hong Hee Joo, taking the blame for making Hee Joo stay in another “prison” for the past 3 years.

He also took the initiative to express his feelings to his wife, promising to give Hee Joo everything, from sincerity, care, understanding and love. He hoped he could make up for it so that Hee Joo would no longer think about divorce.

After that, Baek Se Eon quickly had the opportunity to express his feelings for his wife thanks to the agency's outing. While playing the matchmaking game, Se Eon's close actions towards Hee Joo even made his colleagues suspect that the two had feelings for each other (because Se Eon and Hee Joo had not publicly announced their relationship).

However, at the end of the episode, a dangerous situation occurred when the group went mountain climbing. Hee Joo was pushed off the cliff by the villain who was in the same group as the real “406”. Baek Se Eon was extremely panicked and immediately sent people to look for his wife.

After the fall, Hee Joo woke up but her whole body was in pain. She couldn’t move and her personal phone was broken. She had to use “406”’s phone to call Se Eon.

At the same time, Se Eon, who was desperately searching for his wife, was also waiting for this call. Hee Joo thought that this time she would have to admit to her husband that she was impersonating “406”. But when Se Eon picked up the phone, he did not expose his wife, he said that he thought Hee Joo was with “406”.

With a trembling voice, Baek Se Eon was only worried about whether Hee Joo was cold and had enough water to drink. He asked “406” to instruct Hee Joo to use the flare under the backpack that he had prepared to determine her location.

The episode ended with Baek Se Eon frantically rushing to where the flare appeared to save his wife, moving viewers.
