On February 6th, two members Miyeon and Minnie of the Kpop girl group i-dle appeared on the online entertainment program Trueman Show. They participated in a gentle but frank conversation, using a lie detector.
In the program, MC Lee Yong Jin asked Miyeon if she thought she was the "most outstanding beauty" of the group i-dle. Miyeon answered "yes" without hesitation, and the lie detector confirmed that it was true.
She explained that she did not really think so, but she answered confidently because she was afraid that if she hesitated, the machine would think she was lying.
Lee Yong Jin continued to ask, since when did she start thinking she should take on the role of "visual" (image and beauty representative) in the group. Miyeon said that many i-dle songs promote self-love, and she is tired of reacting to denial of all compliments.
“Before, when seniors or juniors said I was pretty, I always said “no, I'm not”, but then I didn't like that anymore. So I started saying “thank you”, and maybe this change made people see me differently. Actually, I am quite humble,” Miyeon confided.
The MC then joked about a series of praise titles for the female singer such as: "365 days of peak beauty", "perfect sculptural profile", or "nose so high that people doubt her nationality".

He teased Miyeon that perhaps she had "paid privately to reporters" to receive compliments, and then asked directly whether she would intervene in beauty and aesthetic measures such as eyebrow tattoos or nose lift.
Miyeon firmly affirmed that she "did nothing", and the lie detector continued to confirm the answer was true.
My nose is completely natural, even with slightly bulging bones. After debuting, I realized my nose is really beautiful. My parents also have a high nose bridge," the female singer confidently shared.
When asked if she had ever been told she looked like actress Song Hye Kyo, Miyeon denied it, but the lie detector reported it was wrong, making the whole studio burst into laughter.
She humorously explained that her heart was beating fast when asked that question, so perhaps the result reflects Miyeon's desire to be like her senior rather than the truth.
Lee Yong Jin continued to ask if she looked more like Son Ye Jin. Miyeon honestly replied: "Between you two, I think I look a little more like Son Ye Jin, maybe just like a fingernail.

However, Miyeon is very determined to deny rumors that she has "princess syndrome". She said: "That's completely not true. It's just an image.
The lie detector confirmed the answer was true. She added jokingly: "Some people really think I have a psychological problem. Now that it's clarified, I feel lighter.
Meanwhile, the group i-dle returned to domestic promotion activities last month, after an 8-month absence, with the release of the digital single "Mono (feat. skaiwater)" on January 27.
Before debuting as an i-dle member in 2018, Miyeon was known as a "missing member" of Blackpink.
She used to be a trainee of YG Entertainment for more than 5 years, even in Blackpink's 5-member lineup before the group officially became active with 4 people - Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa.
