This model also creates a source of future cadres for the Army and the country; caring for and supporting students who are children of ethnic minorities, policy beneficiaries, families with meritorious services to the revolution, and those in particularly difficult circumstances.
These schools have the function of grassroots cultural education, high school according to the program of the Ministry of Education and Training; closely combining political education, military training, physical training and life skills.
According to the direction of the Central Military Commission, the working delegation of the General Staff has just organized a conference on the establishment of the Military Junior High School directly under Military Region 1.
The working delegation of the General Staff heard many discussions from functional agencies on the following contents: Location of school construction planning; current status of land fund and facilities; infrastructure investment capacity; plans to ensure life, activities, study and training for disadvantaged students in the future.
According to the initial proposal, the construction location of the Military Youth School under Military Region 1 is expected to be located in Linh Son ward, Thai Nguyen province.
In addition, issues related to organizational structure, structure of cadres, teachers, and soldiers serving the school were also discussed thoroughly, in order to ensure synchronicity, science and suitability to the specific characteristics of the military school model.
Previously, Military Region 5 also organized a conference to deploy the preparation for the establishment of the Military School in the Central region.
After listening to the Military Region 5 Staff report proposing the content of assigning tasks to agencies to implement the Decision of the Minister of National Defense on the establishment of the Central Military School directly under Military Region 5 and the opinions expressed at the conference. Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai - Commander of Military Region 5 emphasized that the establishment of the Central Military School is a major policy, of strategic significance in education, training, and creating a long-term source of Army cadres for the Central - Central Highlands region and the whole country.
Focus on selecting a teaching staff, building a management framework, ensuring facilities, all for the goal of education and training, contributing to building high-quality human resources for the Army and the country.
According to the expected plan, the Military School directly under Military Region 1, Military Region 5 and Military Region 7 will officially go into operation from the 2026 school year.
