Phuong Oanh has left her mark through a series of films such as "Quynh Doll" and "Huong Tu Tinh". For the past 4 years, she has been taking care of her family and temporarily stopped acting. In the near future, the actor will return to the screen with the main role in the film "The Wind Rings the Blue Sky".
Lao Dong reporter had a conversation with Phuong Oanh to confide about the actress's comeback after 4 years.
Actress Phuong Oanh returns to the screen with a new image - now she is a wife and a mother. How does a small family become a solid support for you?
- My husband is a great source of motivation for me to return to acting. He was the first and most enthusiastic supporter of me in all my plans. Since I started filming, I have had little time for my husband and children, and the filming schedule is full on weekends.
He took care of my child so I could go to work. Every time I read lines, work, and see the image of him taking care of his child, I feel very moved. Seeing him supporting and helping with child care is a great source of motivation and strength for me.
7 years after "Quynh Doll", Phuong Oanh returned to act with Doan Quoc Dam. When making this decision, how did her husband react?
- When he heard me share about wanting to go to the movies, he trusted me very much. He was also excited and nervous because this was the first time he saw his wife on TV.
Before, he also watched the movie I acted in but only watched it again. This is the first time he has seen his wife on air and been able to accompany me during filming. He also wanted to go with me to the press conference, but I said this event was just for the movies, he stayed home to look after his children.

The tight filming schedule will make actors almost have to "eat and sleep" in the film crew. How do you manage your time to go filming and spend time with your family?
- Luckily, the schedule of "The Wind Rings the Blue Sky" is not as harsh as the films I have acted in before.
Before, I filmed very early and only returned home at 9-10 am. But in the new film, the story revolves around my family, so I don't come home too late in the evening. I usually come home at 7pm, and will be a little late in the long run. In return, I have to leave very early in the morning.
Many days I go to work before my child wakes up, when I get home my child is already asleep. As a new mother, I feel very sorry for my child, a little self-blame for being greedy, both wanting to spend more time with her child and wanting to contribute to her career.
I feel sad at times. Even the two children know their mistakes, and sometimes they don't follow their mother anymore. I have to tell my child that I will be fine when I am at home with him today. The children at home are very well-behaved and sensitive, knowing that if they follow their mother - mother will be sad. I am happy that the children understand the story very well.
Phuong Oanh is an emotional person, playing the role of a mother on screen. Are the characters My Anh in "The Wind Across the Blue Sky" and Phuong Oanh really similar or different in real life?
- Actually, when playing the role of My Anh, there will be times when I am too caught up, unable to leave the role immediately. However, my husband really likes it, because My Anh is calmer (laughs).
Every day when I get home but I'm not completely free of the character, Mr. Binh laughs and says 'man will probably find the film strange'. He said the same thing but My Anh and I reacted very differently.
It can be said that he likes Phuong Oanh's gentle version. I also often share scenes and lines in the script that are similar to what I often say. We also talked about some family situations in the script.
In her acting career, Phuong Oanh is wholeheartedly supported by her husband. So in the opposite direction, as a supporter, how do you encourage "Shark Binh"?
- My husband is a "hard fan" of mine, he watches every film I make, watches and reviews "Quynh Doll". On the contrary, I am also a "hard-working" fan of his. When attending events with him, I really admire his style and way of working.
At home, he is very humorous and sometimes playful, carefree, and cute. However, at the company, he is like a different person, completely changed. That difference is also interesting in my married life.
He is a father who often says "there is no way out", and is surprised by taking care of his children. But now, the two children are very close to their father and like to express their feelings to him.
I am an actor, and I can "transform" into many personality traits. Every day, I change my appearance and mentality.
