The role marks the actress's return after a long absence since "The official taste". "The Wind Across the Blue Sky" also marks the reunion of Phuong Oanh and Doan Quoc Dam since "Quynh Doll".

Revealing about this comeback role, Phuong Oanh said that she plays My Anh - an adult girl who has a family: "This is also a lucky thing to create a character quite close to me in real life. At first, I thought that such a close role would not be difficult for me, but when performing, the director always had to mention that this was My Anh, not Phuong Oanh. There are situations where if I had to react this way, I would have reacted this way but the character would react differently, which is difficult for me".
Phuong Oanh was born in 1989, a familiar actress on VTV's prime time airwaves. She is known through a series of films such as "Quynh Doll" and "Huong Tu Tinh". In June 2023, after many scandals, Phuong Oanh and Shark Binh confirmed that they had completed marriage procedures in the actress's hometown. In July of the same year, the couple held a luxurious engagement ceremony and in May 2024, she gave birth to 2 twin children, Jimmy and Jenny. After getting married, Phuong Oanh spent a lot of time taking care of her small family and two children.
"The Wind Rings the Blue Sky" will continue the broadcast of the movie "Cold Sun" on VTV3. According to director Le Do Ngoc Linh, this is a film about the journey to find happiness of women over 30 years old with 3 main characters: My Anh - a housewife, taking care of her husband and children, Chau Ngan (Quynh Kool) - a married person but not growing up and Truc Anh (Viet Hoa) - a girl over 30 years old who is still single and looking for her own value.
