However, according to the male artist himself, his treatment at Hospital 198 took place from the beginning of 2026, mainly due to prolonged cold weather combined with existing underlying diseases.
After the treatment process, his health has stabilized even though he still has to control many diseases such as diabetes, gastroesophageal reflux, herniated discs, blood fat and fatty liver.
Currently, with his health situation, People's Artist Tran Nhuong said that he can go back to acting.
NSND Tran Nhuong was born in 1952 in old Hai Duong (now Hai Phong City), is one of the veteran faces of Vietnamese theater and television.
He began his artistic path in the 1970s at the Hai Hung Song and Dance Troupe, then transferred to work in the People's Police force and was attached to the Police Drama Troupe for a long time.
Throughout his career, he held the position of Director of the People's Police Drama Theater before retiring. A systematic training foundation, including time in Bulgaria, helped him define his acting style and focus on psychological depth.
In the field of film, NSND Tran Nhuong is widely known through a series of roles with villainous colors or complex personalities.
From the first works such as "Reverse Light", "Who is angry, who loves" to television series such as "Provincial Chairman", "The Judge", "Birth and Death", "Underground Storm", "Brain Battle"... he often plays characters with multi-layered inner selves, requiring the ability to restrain and handle situations flexibly.
Besides cinema, NSND Tran Nhuong still maintains stage activities and participates in some television projects when there are suitable scripts. Although he has turned 74, the male artist still participates in acting at a moderate level, or appears as a judge at some art programs or competitions.
Currently, his health is no longer as before when facing many diseases. However, NSND Tran Nhuong still maintains a flexible working schedule, driving himself to perform in many localities when conditions are suitable.
Regarding his personal life, NSND Tran Nhuong went through many upheavals in marriage. He has 2 children, including a son, director Tran Binh Trong - currently working in film production and a daughter Tran Hoang Anh Phuong - pursuing art and participating in beauty contests.
After several breakups, he chose to live alone in Hanoi, maintaining the habit of independent living.
People's Artist Tran Nhuong once said that he does his job not to get rich, but because the acting profession has been deeply ingrained in his bones and marrow, not being able to work in the arts is unbearable.
Director Tran Binh Trong also wanted to bring his father back to live with his family many times, but NSND Tran Nhuong did not want to bother his children and grandchildren.
