According to the decision of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Bac Ninh Specialized High School becomes Bac Ninh Specialized High School No. 1. Meanwhile, Bac Giang Specialized High School has a new name, Bac Ninh Specialized High School No. 2.
These are two of 80 public high schools, the Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center under the management of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh.
In the national excellent student selection exam for the period 2022-2024, the two former provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang are always in the top 10 provinces and cities with many awards.
Last year, 18 students nationwide won prizes in international Olympic competitions, including 5 students from two specialized schools in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
After merging provinces and cities, many localities have 2-3 specialized schools. Bac Ninh is the first province to rename specialized schools after the merger.
The new Bac Ninh province (merged from Bac Ninh and Bac Giang) has an area of 4,718.6 km2, a population of 3,619,433 people and 99 commune-level administrative units (66 communes and 33 wards). The province has the 5th largest economic scale in the country.
After the merger, the Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee is Mr. Nguyen Van Gau and the Chairman of the People's Committee is Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan.
