According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT), the Math exam session on the morning of June 2 took place basically stably, safely and in accordance with regulations.
The total number of candidates taking the exam is 150,918/151,557 registered students, with 639 absent candidates, accounting for 0.42%.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the exam organization took place normally, and no incidents related to exam questions at exam sites in the city were recorded.


During the exam session, the education sector recorded 3 cases of candidates encountering health problems during the exam.
At the exam site of Mac Dinh Chi Secondary School (Tan Hoa ward), a candidate had stomach pain; at the exam site of Trung Lap Secondary School (Thai My commune), a candidate showed signs of fatigue and at the exam site of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Binh Trung ward), a candidate had abdominal pain.
These candidates were supported by invigilators and medical staff, taken to the medical room for monitoring and handling. According to regulations, the above cases are not allowed to be compensated for exam time.
Morning of June 2nd is the last exam session for the majority of candidates participating in the 10th grade public school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year in Ho Chi Minh City.
In the afternoon of the same day, candidates registering for specialized and integrated classes continued to take the exam for specialized or integrated subjects according to their registered aspirations.
The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year takes place in 2 days, June 1st and 2nd, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam. Public high schools in the city enroll about 118,500 students in 10th grade, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam have a chance of passing.
Candidates take exams in three subjects: Literature, Mathematics and English. Those who register for specialized or integrated classes will take additional specialized or integrated subjects accordingly.
This year, the exam is organized at 242 exam sites, including 226 regular exam sites and 16 specialized exam sites, with a total of 6,443 exam rooms. The city's education sector mobilized more than 17,700 teachers, staff and officials to participate in exam supervision and service.
