An Giang expects to complete the supply of textbooks by September 25

An Giang - The Department of Education and Training established a rapid response team, and at the same time publicly announced the hotline and key suppliers of textbooks for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

According to statistical reports from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of September 15, An Giang province has supplied more than 5.93 million copies of textbooks (SGK), excluding the number of other supplies and the number of textbooks in 2025 transferred for distribution; the locality is still short of 33,441 copies, equivalent to about 0.94%. The number of textbooks in short supply in An Giang will be supplied from September 20 and is expected to complete supply by September 25.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province had implemented many solutions to handle, coordinate and promptly supplement textbooks for students. The Department established a rapid response team, and at the same time publicly announced a hotline and textbook supply points for the 2026 - 2027 school year.

The rapid response team has the task of receiving and verifying information and reflections on the situation of textbook shortages; coordinating with issuing and supplying units and relevant agencies to handle, coordinate, and provide timely additional supplies.

The group operates from September 15 to the end of September 30, 2026, headed by Mr. Huynh Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training. The Department also publicly announced the hotline 0944 154 321 to receive feedback related to the supply of textbooks.

Textbook supply hubs include: An Giang Educational Book and Equipment Joint Stock Company (No. 21, Doan Van Phoi Street, Long Xuyen Ward), phone 0938 071 002; Kien Giang School Equipment and Book Joint Stock Company (No. 599-601-603, 3/2 Street, Rach Gia Ward), phone 0913 848 040; Kien Giang Bookstore Education Support and Development Co., Ltd. The Department requests publishing and supply units to arrange permanent focal points, proactively coordinate with the Department, People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and educational institutions to receive needs, verify the remaining quantity, transfer and supplement supply. Units must also promptly inform about the status of books, points of sale and supply capacity when there are changes.

In addition, the Department also requires schools to guide students to exploit books at libraries, old books that are still usable and free electronic textbooks on the website https://taphuan. nxbgd. vn/tap-huan. Distribution points and contact points are also required to be publicized so that students and parents can conveniently buy and supplement books.
