On the afternoon of January 29, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province organized a commendation and reward ceremony for students and teachers who achieved excellent results in the National Excellent High School Graduation Exam for the school year 2025 - 2026.
According to the An Giang Department of Education and Training, the 2025 - 2026 national high school excellent student selection exam for the whole province has 180 candidates taking the exam with 9 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography and English.
The national excellent student team in the 2025 - 2026 school year of the province is mostly students from Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted with 67 students, Thoai Ngoc Hau High School for the Gifted with 62 students.
As a result, 89 students won prizes (including 19 second prizes, 26 third prizes and 44 consolation prizes), a rate of 49.44%; compared to the 2024 - 2025 school year, an increase of 5 prizes.
Regarding the rate of winning prizes, An Giang ranked first in the Mekong Delta region, ranked 21st nationwide (the number of contestants from the provinces is not equal due to the merger of provinces). Regarding the quality of the prizes, the province was ranked 3rd in the Mekong Delta region and ranked 29th nationwide.
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy congratulated students and teachers who achieved excellent results in the National Excellent High School Graduation Exam for the 2025-2026 school year. The results of the exam have brought great pride to the An Giang Provincial Education sector.
These outstanding achievements have the effort, will, energy, passion for learning and aspiration to conquer knowledge of students and the enthusiasm, wisdom, and dedication of the team of teachers directly nurturing excellent students. Along with that is the persistent and responsible companionship of parents; as well as the close leadership and direction of the education sector and the entire political system of the province.
Provincial leaders always believe that they will continue to nurture aspirations, constantly cultivate knowledge, ethics and bravery to become outstanding citizens, making practical contributions to the development of their homeland and country in the future.
At the same time, it is proposed that the Education and Training sector continue to improve the quality of discovering, selecting and fostering gifted students; pay attention to building a team of good teachers with professional competence and practical experience.
Strengthen synchronicity and efficiency in teaching organization; pay more attention to students in difficult areas and border areas, ensuring fairness in education. Link key education with the goal of training high-quality human resources, serving the socio-economic development requirements of the province in the digital transformation and international integration period.
