On May 28, according to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, the project to build Huong Khe Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Huong Khe commune is being accelerated by the contractor.
At the construction site, hundreds of workers and many machines and vehicles are working on many different items to speed up progress.
With hot weather, workers have had their working hours adjusted accordingly to ensure their health.
Mr. Phan Van Hoan (60 years old, residing in Huong Khe commune) said that the weather has been hot these days, so the company has adjusted the working schedule more appropriately. Accordingly, working in the morning from 5:30 am to 9:30 am; working in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
According to Mr. Hoan, he works as a construction worker and is paid 400,000 VND per day. With this amount of money, he is also temporarily satisfied. However, because working in hot and hard weather conditions, he still wants the Company to support him to increase a little more income.
For construction workers, they are paid 500 thousand VND per day. Many workers are local people, so at noon they take advantage of going home to eat, rest, and then continue to return to the construction site to work in the afternoon.
“Progress pressure along with intense heat makes working at the construction site very hard. However, we are still determined to work actively to increase income, and also contribute to ensuring the progress that the company has thoroughly grasped and urged,” Mr. Phan Van Hoan shared.
Mr. Le Van Phong - Commander of the construction site of Huong Khe Inter-level Boarding Primary School - Secondary School of Construction Mechanical Engineering Joint Stock Company under Hanoi Construction Corporation said that due to great progress pressure, the Company is currently focusing highly on accelerating construction.
In addition to adjusting the construction time to suit the harsh hot weather conditions, the unit also organizes overtime construction at night.
According to Mr. Phong, currently every day at the construction site, Construction Mechanical Engineering Joint Stock Company arranges 150 workers to work in many different items, including workers from some other contractors, there are about 200 workers at the construction site. Up to this point, the entire project has reached a construction volume of more than 50%.
“We have just added more workers to the construction site to supplement some teams such as aluminum and glass teams, and waterproofing teams to construct building blocks that are entering the gradual completion phase. The company is determined to speed up the progress to complete and hand over the project before August 30, in time to put it into use right at the beginning of the new 2026 - 2027 school year according to the investor's direction,” Mr. Le Van Phong shared.
Representatives of the supervision consulting contractor said that the unit regularly arranges officials to be present at the construction site to perform supervision functions to ensure that the project meets quality standards, avoiding the situation of progress pressure and contractors working carelessly, not meeting quality standards will affect acceptance and use later.
The Huong Khe Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project is built in Phu Gia village, Huong Khe commune on an area of more than 5ha, with a construction cost of about 160 billion VND.
The project started on November 9, 2025, invested by the Ha Tinh Provincial Civil and Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board. According to the progress, the project must be completed and handed over before August 30, 2026.
On May 28th, a leader of Son Kim 1 Commune People's Committee, Ha Tinh province, said that the construction of Son Kim 1 Inter-level Boarding School for Primary and Secondary Schools is currently being focused on by the contractor to accelerate the construction progress.
This school was started on November 9, 2025 in Trung village on an area of more than 5 hectares with a scale of 40 classrooms for more than 1,300 students. The construction investment cost is about 140 billion VND.
According to the schedule, this project must also be completed and handed over before August 30, 2026 to be put into use right at the beginning of the new school year 2026 - 2027.
