2 Hanoi students won international Olympic Gold Medals and were awarded more than 600 million VND
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has announced the reward level for students and teachers with high achievements in domestic and international competitions with a total prize money of nearly 23 billion VND.
According to Hanoi's decision to reward students and teachers with high achievements in domestic and international competitions, students will be rewarded with 300 million VND for international Olympic Gold Medals; 200 million VND for students who win international Olympic Silver Medals; 150 million VND for students who win international Olympic Bronze Medals; 100 million VND for Encouragement prizes...
Teachers with students who win medals and awards will be awarded 70% of the student's bonus.
There were 2 students from Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted who were awarded more than 600 million VND.
Of which, Nguyen Luong Thai Duy received the highest prize of up to 365 million VND for achieving the Gold Medal of the International Biology Olympiad; first prize for excellent students in the city; first prize for excellent students nationwide.
Nguyen Manh Tuan, Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, was awarded VND 350 million for achieving the Gold Medal of the International Chemistry Olympiad; first prize in the national excellent student award.
Hai Phong rewards students who win international high prizes up to half a billion VND
According to the Resolution regulating mechanisms and policies in training and fostering excellent students; selecting, using and treating a team of managers and teachers in the field of excellent student training nationwide, regionally and internationally approved by the People's Council of Hai Phong City, term XVI, 2021-2026.
According to the Resolution, students participating in international Olympic competitions in subjects sent by the Ministry of Education and Training will be awarded 500 million VND if they win a Gold medal (first prize); a Silver medal (second prize) 400 million VND; a Bronze medal (third prize) 300 million VND. In case of receiving a certificate of merit (encouragement, fourth prize), the prize is 100 million VND.
For students participating in international scientific and technical research competitions and regional Olympics in subjects sent or authorized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the prize level is 300 million VND for Gold medals, 200 million VND for Silver medals, 100 million VND for Bronze medals and 50 million VND for certificates of merit and consolation prizes, respectively.
Students participating in the national science and technology research competition sent by the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong will receive a reward of 50 million VND if they win the First Prize; a Second Prize of 40 million VND; a Third Prize of 30 million VND; an Encouragement Prize or a Fourth Prize of 20 million VND.
Students sent by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in international, regional or international science and technology competitions will receive an additional bonus of 50 million VND.
In addition, during the time students participate in training and development to compete, the city supports study, accommodation and travel costs according to regulations.
The city also grants scholarships to students of specialized schools with good academic and training results with an average score of 8.5 or higher or winning prizes in national, regional and international excellent student competitions.
Hai Phong also has specific policies in selecting and treating teachers, managers and experts to participate in training and fostering excellent students.
Quang Ninh rewards 600 million VND to students and teachers who won the International Informatics Gold Medal
Last August, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province organized a ceremony to honor and reward students and teachers who won the Bronze Medal at the 37th International Informatics Olympiad.
Accordingly, the province has awarded 400 million VND from the province to students in Ninh Quang Thang, grade 12 IT, Ha Long High School for the Gifted and 200 million VND to teacher Ha Dai Ton - the teacher in charge of the 2025 IT student team of Ha Long High School for the Gifted.
