Accordingly, on the occasion of the 2026 New Year, cadres, civil servants and workers under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, vocational education - continuing education centers, secondary schools and Hanoi Education and Training School for Cadres will have 1 day off, on January 1, 2026.
For the Lunar New Year 2026, cadres, civil servants and workers under the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education, secondary schools and Hanoi School for Training and Education Cadres will have 5 days off according to regulations. Specific holiday time is from February 16 (Monday) to February 20, 2026 (Friday) lunar calendar.
If including Saturdays, Sundays before and after holidays, the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for Hanoi students can last 9 days
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training requires units to thoroughly grasp and strictly and fully implement the documents and instructions of the Central and City on organizing activities during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2026.
Schools are responsible for specifically announcing the Tet holiday schedule to all staff, teachers, staff and students; proactively arranging on-duty departments according to regulations, ensuring continuous work resolution and promptly handling unexpected situations that may arise during the Tet holiday.
Along with that, educational institutions need to strengthen propaganda and education for students to practice a civilized lifestyle, maintain social order and safety, traffic safety; strictly comply with regulations on the management and use of fireworks; improve skills in preventing and combating accidents and injuries, preventing social evils, ensuring safety, especially safety in cyberspace.
The work of assigning duties and protecting agencies and schools during the Tet holiday must be carried out seriously, while closely coordinating with local police to ensure absolute safety for facilities, equipment and fire prevention and fighting.
