Ms. Ngo Thi Quyen Linh said that in the new high school curriculum, students can choose 5 elective subjects in 3 groups of subjects: Social Sciences (including History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education), Natural Sciences (including Physics, Chemistry, Biology), and Technology and Arts (including Technology, Information Technology, Music, Fine Arts).
However, the structure of the Ministry of Public Security's competency assessment exam includes both Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Culture, Economics, Society).
Therefore, if following the new curriculum, candidates born in 2007 will not be able to study all the subjects in the exam and will not have enough knowledge to take the Ministry of Public Security's competency assessment test.
"Currently, does the Ministry have a plan to develop a new competency assessment test for the 2025 exam?" - Ms. Linh wondered.
Regarding Ms. Ngo Thi Quyen Linh's opinion, the Ministry of Public Security has responded on the Electronic Information Portal.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security said that new regular university admissions to People's Public Security schools are carried out in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.
In recent years (2022, 2023, 2024), a group of academies and universities of the People's Public Security will organize assessment exams to recruit new university-level students in the People's Public Security.
In the assessment exams of the academies, the Police Academy has annual stability in the admission method, scoring method, format and structure of the exam so that candidates can proactively review.
The knowledge in the assessment exam of the police academies and schools does not go beyond the high school knowledge that candidates have learned.
In 2025, the Ministry of Public Security will guide training institutions in the People's Public Security to closely follow the general education program of the Ministry of Education and Training, and strictly follow the instructions and regulations on university admissions of the Ministry of Education and Training to organize new university admissions in People's Public Security academies and schools.
"Ms. Ngo Thi Quyen Linh herself, who wants to register for admission to the Police Academy, needs to proactively review the high school curriculum she has registered to study. The Ministry of Public Security will announce the plan to organize admission to the Police Academy and schools in the near future," said the Ministry of Public Security.
