The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said on March 5 that, implementing the Plan of the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training has submitted to the Government to issue Decree No. 37/2025/ND-CP dated February 26, 2025 stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training. Accordingly, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training includes:
1. Department of Preschool Education (maintained)
2. The Department of Public Education (on the basis of merging the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Secondary Education into the Department of Public Education).
3. Department of Higher Education (maintained).
4. Department of National Defense and Security Education (maintained).
5. The Department of Students (on the basis of merging the Department of Physical Education and the Department of Political Education and student work into the Department of Students).
6. The Legal Department (maintained).
7. Department of Organization and Personnel (maintain).
8. Department of Planning - Finance (on the basis of merging the Department of Planning - Finance and the Department of Infrastructure into the Department of Planning - Finance).
9. Office (maintained).
10. Inspectorate (keeping).
11. Department of Teachers and Educational Managers (maintained).
12. Department of Quality Management (maintain).
13. Department of Science, Technology and Information (on the basis of merging the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and the Department of Information Technology into the Department of Science, Technology and Information).
14. Department of International Cooperation ( maintained).
15. The Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education (on the basis of reorganizing the General Department of Vocational Education and the Department of Continuing Education into the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education).
16. Education and Times Newspaper (maintained).
17. Education Magazine (maintained).
18. Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences (kept).
In addition, end the operation of the Department of Ethnic Education, transfer functions and tasks to appropriate units under the Ministry.
Thus, according to the provisions of Decree No. 37/2025/ND-CP, reduce 1 General Department to Department; reduce 6 Departments.
