According to Decree No. 37/2025/ND-CP, from March 1, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training includes: Department of Preschool Education; Department of Education; Department of Higher Education; Department of National Defense and Security; Department of Students; Department of Legal Affairs; Department of Organization and Personnel; Department of Planning - Finance; Office; Inspectorate; Department of Teachers and Personnel for Education Management; Department of Quality Management; Department of Science, Technology and Information; Department of International Cooperation; Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education; Education and Times; Education Magazine; Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences.
The Decree takes effect from March 1, 2025; replaces Decree No. 86/2022/ND-CP dated October 24, 2022 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Previously, according to Decree 86/2022/ND-CP, the structure of the Ministry of Education and Training included: Department of Preschool Education; Department of Primary Education; Department of Secondary Education; Department of Higher Education; Department of Physical Education; Department of Ethnic Education; Department of Continuing Education; Department of National Defense and Security Education; Department of Political Education and Student Work; Department of Organization and Personnel; Department of Planning - Finance; Department of Facilities; Department of Science, Technology and Environment; Department of Legal Affairs; Office; Inspectorate; Department of Quality Management; Department of Teachers and Educational Managers; Department of Information Technology; Department of International Cooperation; Vietnam Institute of Education; Department of Education and Culture; Education and Times; Education and Press.
Thus, after streamlining, the structure of the Ministry of Education and Training will be reduced from 23 to 18 units.
5 deputy ministers of the Ministry of Education and Training
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, to the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.
Thus, the Ministry of Education and Training has 5 deputy ministers including: Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuong, Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi and Mr. Le Tan Dung.
