On September 3, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1885/QD-TTg on the transfer and appointment of Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son - Deputy Minister of Education and Training - to hold the position of Chairman of the Council, Director of Hanoi National University.
On the same day, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1889/QD-TTg, appointing Prof. Dr. Le Quan - Chairman of the Council, Director of Hanoi National University - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Education and Training.

Within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced the decision to transfer the work according to personal wishes of Ms. Le Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of Teachers and Educational Managers - to work at the Institute of Mathematics; the decision to re-appoint the Deputy Director of the University Department of Education Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy and Deputy Chief of Office Nguyen Van Cu.
The Minister shared that Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son has worked for 6 years as Deputy Minister of Education and Training. With experience in management, sense of responsibility and efforts, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son has completed his assigned tasks well; especially when participating in many major tasks of the industry, such as Planning the network of universities and pedagogical schools; developing Resolution 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development...
The Minister believes that with the accumulation of expertise, sense of responsibility and capacity, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son will excellently complete the tasks in his new position.
With Prof. Dr. Le Quan, the minister believes that with many years of experience as Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in charge of vocational education; at the same time, with his tenure as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province and nearly 5 years as Director of Hanoi National University, Prof. Dr. Le Quan will continue to make important contributions to the education sector in his new position.
