On the morning of September 5, together with localities across the country, educational institutions in Ca Mau province simultaneously organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 - 2027 school year.
From early morning, a large number of teachers, students and parents were present at the schools. The opening atmosphere took place bustlingly and excitedly, marking the first day of the new school year.

At Bac Lieu High School for the Gifted, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province Ho Thanh Thuy attended the opening ceremony and awarded scholarships to students.
At Ca Mau College after the merger, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang attended the opening ceremony of the new school year.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province, after arrangement, in the 2026 - 2027 school year, the whole province will have 359 public educational institutions, a decrease of 387 institutions compared to before arrangement.

The whole province has about 397,255 learners. In which, preschool education has 48,969 children, with 1,795 groups and classes; primary school has 153,583 students, with 5,155 classes; secondary school has 123,124 students, with 3,172 classes; high school has 58,186 students, with 1,412 classes.

In addition, the continuing education system has 2,160 students; specialized education has 330 students. Vocational and university education blocks have 7,450 college students and 3,453 university students.
After the arrangement process, the entire Ca Mau education sector currently has more than 24,190 managers, teachers and staff at public educational institutions.

The simultaneous opening ceremony in the new school year also marks a shift in the Ca Mau education sector after implementing the arrangement and streamlining of the network of educational institutions. Schools enter the new school year with the requirement of both stabilizing organization, ensuring teaching and learning conditions, and improving the quality of education.
On the opening day, schools focused on creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, helping students have a favorable start to the new school year. This is also an opportunity for schools, teachers, parents and students to aim for the goal of improving the quality of teaching and learning in the 2026 - 2027 school year.
