Ca Mau - The provincial education sector requires schools not to organize quality tests at the beginning of the year, not to classify optional classes and advanced classes to avoid putting pressure on students.

On August 27, the leader of the Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ca Mau province said that the Department has just noted to the People's Committees of communes, wards, and affiliated units on organizing education work at the beginning of the 2025 - 2026 school year.

The Department requires schools not to organize quality tests at the beginning of the school year to avoid putting pressure on students; not to classify optional classes and advanced classes (except for specialized classes in high schools) in any form to avoid creating pressure and easily developing the phenomenon of running classes.

Instead, schools need to pay attention to and have solutions to train excellent students, organize effective review sessions for senior students, and support students with academic results that do not meet the requirements according to regulations.

The Department of Education and Training encourages the role of teachers in organizing, guiding, supporting students to be proactive, proactive, self-conscious and develop self-study and group learning abilities throughout the learning process.

For high school level, the Department requires schools to effectively organize consultation and guidance for students to register to choose subjects and study topics to ensure publicity, transparency, correct procedures, and balance between subjects according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Along with that, be flexible in arranging student quotas in class to meet the maximum needs and aspirations of students; ensure the assignment of teachers, build a scientific and reasonable schedule between classes, without putting pressure on students and teachers.

The 2025-2026 school year is the first school year of the new Ca Mau province after the merger of the two provinces of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu from July 1.

According to the plan, grades 1 and 9, grade 12 will be transferred from August 25 to before the opening day; preschool education and other grades of general education and continuing education will be transferred from August 28 to before the opening day.

The whole province opened the new school year on September 5.
