Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Education and Training on natural disaster prevention and control, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen province issued a document on October 5 requesting affiliated units and educational institutions in the area to strengthen proactive measures to respond to storm No. 11 ( Matmo).
Accordingly, the Department requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to direct educational institutions under their management authority, together with Principals of high schools, Directors of the Center for Continuing Education, the Center for Continuing Education - Continuing Education, and intermediate schools under the Department to urgently implement a number of specific contents.
Educational institutions need to strictly implement the directives of the central, local and the Department of Education and Training; organize 24/7 on-duty, maintain regular contact with authorities and rescue forces to promptly handle incidents that occur in school grounds.
Depending on the development of storms and the actual situation in the locality, heads of educational institutions proactively report to competent authorities and decide to let students stay home to ensure the safety of teachers, students, managers and people.
At the same time, it is necessary to proactively develop a plan to clean up schools, prevent epidemics, ensure a safe and clean learning environment before welcoming students back to school; have a reasonable compensatory teaching plan during school break due to the storm.
The Department of Education and Training also requires units to promptly report when unusual situations occur.
