Regarding the incident in which a female 11th grade student at Nong Cong 2 High School (Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province) was beaten by a group of people, leading to a broken cervical vertebrae, recently, at a press conference to inform about the socio-economic situation in 2024 and key tasks in 2025 organized by the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa Province, a representative of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that after the incident, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police directed the Nong Cong District Police to intervene.

After investigation and verification, Nong Cong District Police decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and ban the 6 female students who participated in beating their friend from leaving their place of residence.

According to a representative of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, in addition to the 6 female students who were prosecuted and banned from leaving their place of residence, Nong Cong District Police decided to administratively punish 3 other female students.

According to the representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, after the incident, Nong Cong High School and Nong Cong 2 High School suspended the 6 female students who beat their friend for 2 weeks. This suspension took place before Nong Cong District Police initiated the case and prosecuted the defendant.

"In the future, when the police investigation results are available, the Department will direct the school to continue to impose more severe penalties, aiming to educate and deter" - a representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province informed.

As previously reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of October 5, on the way home from school, when arriving at Tan Phuc commune, Nong Cong district, a group of female students were involved in a fight. Seeing her friend being beaten, female student L.V.G.N. (student of class 11A6, Nong Cong 2 High School) intervened. However, N. was surrounded and beaten by her friends, leading to her being hospitalized at Viet Duc Hospital and diagnosed with a broken cervical vertebra. The subsequent examination results determined that L.V.G.N. suffered injuries and 23% health damage.

The Investigation Police Agency of Nong Cong District Police has prosecuted 6 female students including: Nguyen Thi Ngoc A (17 years old, residing in Gia Mai village, Te Thang commune); Nguyen Thi G (17 years old, residing in Thai Son village, Tan Phuc commune); Hoang Thi Huyen Tr (17 years old, residing in Dinh Kim village, Tan Phuc commune); Nguyen Thi A (16 years old, residing in Hoi Cu village, Hoang Son commune); Le Phuong D (16 years old, residing in Phu Thanh village, Trung Chinh commune); Vu Le Tr (17 years old, residing in Tho Nam village, Te Thang commune, Nong Cong district).

Among the 6 defendants prosecuted, there are 2 students from Nong Cong High School and 4 students from Nong Cong 2 High School.
