On the afternoon of June 3, the Department of Education & Training of Can Tho City held a press conference on the 2026–2027 high school entrance exam and the 2026 high school graduation exam.
According to the Department of Education and Training, the 2026-2027 high school entrance exam has a total of 45,231 students registered to take the exam.

Some new features for high school enrollment in the 2026-2027 school year, digitizing 100% of enrollment work from when candidates register for the exam to when the results are returned to candidates are all real on the 10th enrollment management software common to the whole city; The admission process is still implemented according to the order of registered student aspirations (considering each phase, according to each aspiration 1 to 4);... However, this year there is 1 noteworthy new point that there is a parallel enrollment method: entrance exam (59 schools, enrollment quota of 23,120 students) and admission consideration (32 schools, enrollment quota of 9,184 students).
For the 2026 High School Graduation Exam, there are 34,228 registered candidates. Among them, General Education 29,425 candidates; Continuing Education 2,950 candidates; Liberal Arts 63 candidates who have not graduated; Liberal Arts 1,790 candidates who have graduated. In addition, the number of freelance candidates who only registered for admission accounts is 468 candidates.
Establish 80 official exam sites with 1,515 exam rooms; 33 waiting rooms and 80 backup exam sites. All exam sites (official and backup) are guaranteed to be isolated areas, ensuring security, safety, and traffic convenience.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating cheating in exams, Mr. Danh Hoang Nguyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City said that the Department has issued a document requesting schools to compile a list of candidates using hearing aids to send information to the Police force.
On that basis, the Police force will directly work with each candidate to check and confirm the type of equipment they are using and make a record. On the exam day, candidates must use the correct equipment that has been checked and confirmed before.
For cases of not registering but carrying or using electronic devices, listening devices in the exam room, if detected, they will be handled according to the exam regulations and considered to be violating regulations.
