On November 11, according to information from the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district (Vinh Long province), the Disciplinary Council of the unit has just held a meeting and proposed to handle the principal and 2 officials of Trung Hieu Secondary School related to the case of students fighting at school.
Accordingly, based on the results of verifying information about students fighting on September 23 and the case of students fighting in the 2023-2024 school year at Trung Hieu Secondary School, the Disciplinary Council found that Mr. Vo Huu Tran - Principal of Trung Hieu Secondary School - deliberately concealed the matter, did not report to superiors, and only resolved it internally, causing public outrage.
The Disciplinary Council of the Department of Education and Training of Vung Liem district unanimously proposed that the competent authority discipline Mr. Vo Huu Tran with a warning.
Requesting competent authorities to continue handling officials involved in the case of a group of students beating a classmate, which occurred at Trung Hieu Secondary School on September 23.
In which, Mr. H.H.H (homeroom teacher) did not manage the class closely, students fought many times in class but he did not detect it, did not have a solution to manage students and prevent students from fighting.
Ms. N.T.N.T (teacher in charge) did not fulfill her responsibility in managing student discipline and did not care for the student when he was beaten by a group of friends. When a parent sent a clip of a student being beaten by a group of friends to Ms. T, she only sent it to the principal and did not discuss with the student's family the situation of the beating so that the family could promptly give first aid to the student.
Previously, Trung Hieu Secondary School held a Disciplinary Council meeting and decided to discipline 9 students. Of these, 8 students who directly beat their friends were disciplined by being suspended from school for 1 school year (2024 - 2025), 1 female student who filmed the clip was disciplined by being suspended from school for 2 weeks. Students who watched without reporting or supporting their friends to stop the incident were criticized in front of the whole school and had their conduct grade reduced by 1 level.
Previously, on September 21, student T.T.L (8th grade student, Trung Hieu Secondary School) "collided" with the back of classmate N.H.N.
Feeling hurt, N went home and told the story, and N's family reported the incident to L's family. Being punished by her family, L invited many other friends in grade 8 to beat N.
On September 23, in class, N was beaten by a group of male students using helmets, brooms, chairs... causing soft tissue injuries and had to be hospitalized for treatment. Currently, N's health is stable.
It is worth mentioning that the incident happened in front of many students, but no one intervened and instead cheered, encouraged, and filmed it.
