According to the Can Tho Electronic Information Portal, implementing the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on the work of the School Council at public higher education and vocational education institutions, the Office of the City People's Committee issued Document No. 2687/VPUB-KGVX, conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee.
The Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City is assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to implement the work of the school council in accordance with the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training in Official Letter No. 5506/BGDDT-TCCB.
The School Councils, Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the School Councils (if any) whose terms have expired will continue to operate until further instructions are provided. In case the Chairman of the School Council has reached the retirement age, the Vice Chairman will take on the executive role. If there is no Vice Chairman, the School Council will organize the election of a temporary operator.
Planning work for the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the University Council will be temporarily suspended. The planning and appointment of new positions of Director, Deputy Director, Principal, and Vice Principal will also be temporarily suspended until further instructions are available. However, reappointment when the term expires will continue to be implemented according to current regulations.
The City People's Committee requires public higher education and vocational education institutions in the city to strictly implement the contents, ensuring no interruption in management, teaching and learning activities. The Department of Education and Training is responsible for monitoring, synthesizing the implementation situation, and advising the City People's Committee to direct the implementation of issues under its authority in accordance with regulations.
