On the afternoon of June 19, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of the project to build inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in border communes (phase 1) including Mo Rai, Ro Koi, Sa Loong and Duc Nong.
According to a report by the Western Quang Ngai Investment Project Management Board, the construction progress of inter-level ethnic minority boarding primary and secondary schools (phase 1) in the land border area is being accelerated.

Up to now, the construction progress at Ro Koi Commune Inter-level Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary and Secondary School has reached about 79%; Duc Nong commune reached 73% and Sa Loong commune reached 67%. The project in Mo Rai commune alone has reached about 50%, slower than the set plan.
The total investment of the projects is more than 872 billion VND. Currently, the Western Quang Ngai Investment Project Management Board is implementing contractor selection according to a special mechanism, deploying equipment procurement to ensure progress of the project.
The construction progress of school projects in border areas is still facing many difficulties. The main reason is the shortage of human resources, affecting the construction progress. The projects are located in border areas, far from the center, and living conditions are still difficult, so it is difficult to attract labor, especially skilled labor.
The simultaneous deployment of many construction projects at the same time also makes the labor force even scarcer. In addition, seasonal changes and frequent rains in the afternoon are affecting the construction progress of completion items and technical infrastructure, affecting the overtime plans of contractors.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang acknowledged the efforts of the construction units in the past time, and at the same time requested the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with localities to review learning needs, arrange a suitable teaching staff; organize and mobilize students to study at new inter-level schools, avoiding surplus and waste.

The Western Quang Ngai Investment Project Management Board reports on progress weekly to promptly remove arising difficulties and obstacles; supervise and urge construction units to ensure progress; urgently accelerate bidding for equipment procurement according to regulations.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hoang Giang visited, presented gifts, and encouraged construction units to continue to strive to complete their tasks.
