Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 2536/QD-TTg on converting Hanoi University of Industry into Hanoi University of Industry.
This is a historic turning point, marking the remarkable development of the school with 127 years of tradition, officially becoming the 12th university in the country operating under the model of a multi-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary university.
Hanoi University of Industry is a public service unit, a public higher education institution under the Ministry of Industry and Trade; has legal status, its own seal and account; is under state management of education of the Ministry of Education and Training; is under state management of the territory of the Hanoi People's Committee.
Hanoi University of Industry reorganizes the organizational and operational structure on the basis of Hanoi University of Industry according to the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and relevant legal provisions.
The Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the People's Committee of Hanoi City, according to their functions, tasks, and authority, guide and supervise the conversion process to ensure transparency, avoid negativity, loss, and waste of finance and assets; do not affect the normal and continuous operation of the school.
Ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of learners, lecturers, managers, employees and related organizations and individuals according to legal regulations.
The University Council, Chairman of the University Council, and Principal of Hanoi University of Industry will continue to perform their functions, tasks, and powers according to current regulations until the Minister of Industry and Trade decides to perfect the organization and personnel of Hanoi University of Industry according to the provisions of law.
