Appropriate treatment is needed to help teachers feel secure and focus on their students
On November 17, the National Assembly discussed in groups the draft resolution of the National Assembly on specific mechanisms and policies to implement Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.
Expressing his opinion in the group, delegate Hoang Van Cuong (Hanoi Delegation) said that the specific policies related to treatment, including allowances for teachers, meet the requirements of the Law on Teachers and the spirit of Resolution 71.
He gave an example from the documentary about a highland teacher who had to sacrifice everything, rolling, carrying rice, carrying vegetables to give boarding students food, making anyone who watched it feel sad.
From this story, the delegate said: "It is necessary to treat these teachers appropriately so that they can truly confide in and devote themselves to their students".
Comparing teachers with the health sector, the delegate said that teachers are a special sector. He analyzed that a doctor examines the same patient in the same hospital, the same disease. After completing the hospital examination and leaving the private facility, the doctor was still able to treat that patient, no one would prohibit it.

But if a teacher teaches in class, the same lesson, but teaches outside with the same lesson, the law prohibits and does not allow it. In addition, teachers are not allowed to do certain professions to maintain their image and position.
"Teachers do not always work extra, earn more money to supplement their lives. Therefore, the remuneration policy will help teachers feel more secure and enthusiastic about their work. When teachers are more dedicated and dedicated, learners will benefit" - he affirmed
Along with the general policies, the delegate said that there needs to be a strict and exemplary social supervision mechanism, only then can a team of teachers be created "teaching teachers, teaching students".
Preferential allowance policies will create a clear positive effect

Discussing with Lao Dong about issues related to treatment and allowances for teachers, delegate Trinh Thi Tu Anh (Lam Dong Delegation) affirmed that in the new era, human resources are a key factor, deciding the "success" of Vietnam.
To have high-quality human resources, meeting the requirements of "growing up" of the country, delegate Tu Anh emphasized that the role of "teacher" is decisive.
This is a special workforce, requiring in-depth professional knowledge, pedagogical skills, moral qualities and perseverance to create a high-quality human resource for the country.
As for preschool teachers, they play a particularly important role in shaping the personality and initial ethics of future generations. However, according to the report of the Ministry of Education and Training, this is the group that is at the biggest disadvantage in the entire system when the salary is at the lowest level in the administrative career salary scale.
The entire education sector is facing a serious shortage of more than 102,000 teachers in the 2024-2025 school year, with about 48,000 preschool teachers alone. This situation is even more difficult in particularly difficult socio-economic regions, border areas, islands, ethnic minority areas, etc.
From the above reality, delegates supported and expected that preferential allowance policies will create a clear positive effect, helping to improve the quality of input for pedagogical students, the source of teacher recruitment becomes more abundant, and even the subjects that were previously difficult to recruit such as Natural Sciences, Music, and Fine Arts also have a large number of candidates.
"Improving the treatment of teachers will contribute to improving the quality of comprehensive education" - the delegate said.
