On the afternoon of November 15, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with representatives of outstanding teachers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that the meeting became an annual event, with profound political and humanitarian significance. This is an invaluable source of encouragement and motivation, demonstrating the Government's deep concern and trust in the team of teachers and educational managers - the core pioneer force, deciding the success of the country's education.

According to the Minister, the presence of 60 teachers at today's event is not only a personal honor, but also a common pride of more than 1.6 million teachers across the country.

The teachers represent 173 outstanding individuals honored in 2025 from all levels of education, all regions, from modern urban areas to remote areas, remote areas, and remote islands.
Each teacher is a beautiful story of love for the profession, determination to overcome difficulties, and endless creativity. Whether he is a person who has devoted his entire life to the podium, a pioneer in digital transformation or silently guides disadvantaged students. Teachers themselves are shining examples of morality and personality, being the core factor in the "Innovation and Creativity" emulation movements, contributing to fostering trust and arousing pride in the noble and humane image of teachers.
Focus on reviewing and perfecting mechanisms and policies for recruiting, using, and treating teachers

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that education and training are of special interest to our Party and State and are considered the top national policy - having issued many policies and guidelines for the development of education and training.
Recently, the Politburo issued many historic decisions; issued petitions such as: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW; focusing on key goals such as: Improving the quality of the teaching staff, modernizing the university and general education system and enhancing the position of Vietnamese education in the international arena.
Referring to the Law on Teachers, the Prime Minister said that the National Assembly will pass this law and it will take effect from January 1, 2026. The Law on Teachers has established a legal position, honored and developed the teaching staff. This is the first specialized Law that comprehensively regulates the rights, obligations, policies, training, fostering and other contents related to teachers. The Law affirms the major policy of the Party and State in honoring, caring for, protecting and developing the teaching staff - the key force of the education cause.
Through the sincere sharing of teachers about their lives and careers, the Prime Minister acknowledged that these are teachers with many outstanding and outstanding achievements in the cause of education and training.
The Prime Minister commended the teachers for not only doing a good job in professional and management work, but also actively researching science, innovating, applying it to practice to improve the quality of teaching and learning, publishing many scientific articles, winning many prestigious international awards; actively participating in social activities, volunteering, for students and the community.
The Prime Minister also praised the teachers who persistently crossed streams, crossed passes, put aside homesickness, missed relatives, determined to "pull the children" to the highlands, remote areas, remote areas, ethnic minority areas; persistently "set up villages", ...
In the coming time, to continue to resolutely and comprehensively innovate education and training, the Prime Minister requested the Minister of Education and Training, ministries, heads of sectors, Secretaries and Chairmen of localities to continue to pay more attention and care for the cause of education and training; Resolutely, synchronously and effectively carry out assigned tasks, truly creating a breakthrough in the quality of education and training at all levels and all localities with the motto "Taking students as the center, the subject - teacher as the driving force, inspiring - the school as the support - the family as the fulcrum - the society as the foundation".
The Prime Minister also requested to focus on reviewing and perfecting mechanisms and policies for recruitment, use and treatment so that teachers can enjoy salaries commensurate with their efforts, especially preschool teachers, those working in remote, disadvantaged areas, teachers teaching arduous and toxic professions... In particular, it is necessary to promptly overcome the local shortage of teachers, implementing the right spirit: Where there are students, there are teachers.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister requested to promote the prevention of school violence; protect teachers and students; strengthen the prevention of social evils in schools; maintain solemnity in schools, "teacher to teacher, students to play".
The Prime Minister hopes that each teacher and every teacher must be a shining example in practicing virtue - cultivating talent, loving the profession - loving others; constantly studying, cultivating, accumulating knowledge, experience, improving professional qualifications; being proactive, applying science and technology, having a new approach in teaching and learning; so that each lesson is truly useful and interesting, so that each school day is truly a happy day.
Regarding the proposals and recommendations at today's meeting, the Prime Minister assigned the Government Office, the Ministry of Education and Training, and relevant agencies to synthesize, report, and propose to the Prime Minister and the Government to remove difficulties and obstacles.
