Prof. Dr. Vu Van Yem - Deputy Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology - affirmed that universities are places that train high-quality human resources, requiring a team of talented lecturers and scientists to create knowledge and innovate.
Attracting and promoting talent is an inevitable requirement for innovation and development of education in the new period, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 71-NQ/TW.
However, he also acknowledged that many universities are currently facing a serious shortage of leading lecturers and scientists. Meanwhile, many good experts and young Vietnamese talents working abroad have expressed their desire to return to contribute, but have not yet found an environment, conditions and policies that are attractive enough to do so.
In the spirit of Resolution 71-NQ/TW, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has developed a Project to attract and recruit talented young lecturers, experts, and leading scientists for the 2025-2030 period (HUST- Talent).

The project is built to improve the quality of training and scientific research, contributing to the goal of bringing Hanoi University of Science and Technology into the Top 150 leading universities in Asia by 2030.
The project targets 3 main groups of subjects.
The first group is talented young PhDs graduating from top universities in the world or PhDs with outstanding scientific research achievements. The number of players to be recruited is 137.
The second group is professors, associate professors, technology experts from businesses, research institutes, start-ups in the positions of research laboratory leader, research group leader. The number of people to be recruited is 72.
The final group is scientists, leading experts, prestigious domestic and international managers, guest lecturers, experts, and senior consultants. The number of players to be recruited is 172 people.
Regarding salaries, for lecturers, Hanoi University of Science and Technology offers a salary of 40150 million VND/month depending on their capacity and position paid by the university. In addition, they are entitled to income from topics, projects and cash incentives from state support policies (if any), ...
Experts and scientists are paid for remuneration according to preferential policies from the project based on the content of cooperation and cooperation; supported partially or completely with travel and accommodation costs according to the agreement, etc.
In addition to salary policy, all 3 groups of subjects are entitled to health insurance policies, relatives' support, housing, visas, administrative support, and career development commitments.
"It is expected that by 2030, the project will attract and recruit at least 300 domestic and foreign talents" - Prof. Dr. Vu Van Yen said.
