On the morning of November 16, Danang University held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment and development of Danang University. On the first day of its establishment, Danang University had 5 member schools with nearly 800 lecturers/1,200 staff. To date, this unit has 6 member universities, 3 affiliated training units, institutes, research centers, and technology transfer, with more than 1,600 lecturers/2,600 staff. The proportion of lecturers with a doctorate degree or higher is nearly 50%.
"Da Nang University considers training quality as the "red thread" throughout and the foundation for the sustainable development of a university. Therefore, quality assurance and educational accreditation are always given special attention, with a commitment to and implementation of a quality culture in all activities," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Da Nang University.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training, affirmed that Danang University is a regional university with the mission of training and providing high-quality human resources, scientific research and technology transfer in key areas to meet the socio-economic development needs of the provinces and cities in the Central Highlands and the whole country.
"Over the past 30 years, Danang University has trained tens of thousands of highly qualified human resources in many fields for the country, and has been making important contributions to the cause of national construction and development. Up to this point, it can be affirmed that the policy of establishing Danang University - a regional university in the Central region - is a correct and wise decision," said Mr. Nguyen Kim Son.
