Hanoi - The Le Quang Dao extended road project and Thanh Oai economic axis road, with a capital of more than 1,200 billion VND, are in the "final stage", expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

In October 2022, Hanoi started the investment project to build the extended Le Quang Dao road with a length of 2.6km, starting at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Thang Long Avenue (Nam Tu Liem district), ending at Duong Noi urban area (Ha Dong district).

The project has a total investment of more than 700 billion VND, of which site clearance costs are more than 163 billion VND, construction and installation costs are more than 542 billion VND and some other costs.

The route meets inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60km/h. The typical cross-section of the road is 40m with 6 lanes, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section of 100m.

According to the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board, the contract to complete this project will be signed in June 2025.

The investor said that if the weather is favorable and construction is guaranteed, the project is expected to be completed in December 2024, 6 months earlier than the contract.

Nearly 20km away, the Thanh Oai district economic development axis road project with a total investment of nearly 525 billion VND is considered a model of breakthrough thinking, creating a new axis road for even development among localities.

Of the total investment cost, construction cost is nearly 283 billion VND; compensation, support and resettlement cost is about 174.5 billion VND and some other costs.

The 6.5km long route passes through 4 communes including Thanh Thuy, Thanh Van, Tam Hung and Kim Bai town.

The cross-section of the route is divided into 2 sections, including: The section outside the urban area of Kim Bai town has a cross-section of 23m, the section inside has a cross-section of 25m, meeting 6 lanes.

Currently, the project has completed about 90% of the work. At the project site, the contractor is mobilizing maximum machinery, workers, and engineers to speed up the construction progress of the remaining stages, bringing the project to the finish line in 2024.
