Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision to supplement the targeted budget for 2026 for communes and wards to implement the payment of the remaining preferential allowance for teachers in Buon Ma Thuot City (old), according to Conclusion No. 46/KL-TTr dated April 9, 2025 of the Provincial Inspectorate.
The total additional funding to implement the payment is more than 31 billion VND.
Buon Ma Thuot ward was supplemented with more than 3.9 billion VND; Tan An ward 3.8 billion VND; Tan Lap ward more than 4.8 billion VND; Ea Kao ward more than 11.7 billion VND and Hoa Phu commune more than 6.8 billion VND.
Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee assigned the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the 5 communes and wards mentioned above to be responsible for reviewing subjects, expenditure levels and payment records; ensuring that payments are made to the right subjects, according to regulations, without duplication, and without allowing loss of state budget.
Localities must also be responsible before the law and the Provincial People's Committee for the accuracy of the reported data, as well as the process of organizing the payment implementation.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee discovered that Buon Ma Thuot city (old) spent more than 30 billion VND in excess for teachers of 36 schools in the area.
Including 8 kindergartens, 19 primary schools and 9 secondary schools in units in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Dak Lak Provincial Inspectorate concluded that from 2021 to 2025, Buon Ma Thuot city (old) will only have 7/21 communes and wards in area I belonging to ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Including communes: Cu Ebur, Ea Kao, Ea Tu, Hoa Phu, Hoa Khanh and Ea Tam ward.
The City People's Committee has assigned estimates for schools to pay preferential allowances to teachers directly teaching in schools in the above-mentioned areas lower than regulations.
