On August 11, the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province informed that before the 2025 - 2026 school year, the unit had coordinated with the Department of Finance to advise the Provincial People's Committee to allocate budget to repair, upgrade and purchase teaching equipment in schools with a total cost of 293 billion VND.
For preschool, primary and secondary schools, the cost of repair and procurement is decentralized to the People's Committees of communes and wards for implementation. Currently, the People's Committees of communes and wards in the province are managing 230 kindergartens, 310 primary schools and 280 secondary schools.
Accordingly, the above schools are allocated a total budget of 450 billion VND. Of which, 250 billion VND is spent on repairs and 200 billion VND is spent on purchasing teaching equipment and equipment.
Up to now, the items of repairing classrooms, toilets, playgrounds and installing clean water systems, lighting are being implemented (the average completion rate is 75%).
For high schools, by early August 2025, repair work at schools had completed 85% of the plan. Of which, 120 old classrooms have been renovated and repaired; 70 toilet facilities have been upgraded; 40 functional rooms and laboratories have been newly painted.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, in the coming days, schools will urgently overcome difficulties, ensuring the completion of items before September 5. Thereby, meeting the learning and living conditions for teachers and students before the new school year.
The Department is also implementing professional and technical training courses to improve management and teaching capacity for managers, teachers, and staff.
The education sector will have a plan to recruit, use, arrange, and transfer teachers to meet the requirements and tasks set out in the 2025 - 2026 school year.
